Say your vows under a canopy of maple trees overlooking beautiful Burlington Bay, with the magnificent Italianate architecture of Dundurn Castle in the background. Or move your ceremony indoors to a classical pavilion crowned by a cupola, your chapel for the day.
The lovingly restored Kitchen Garden at Dundurn provides exceptional photography backdrops and offers your guests a distinctive space to take in the sights and scents of an authentic 19th century garden, complete with historic fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs.
Dundurn Castle, a 40-room Italianate-style villa built in the 1830s provides an exceptional backdrop for capturing reflections of your special day. You may also choose to make arrangements for costumed interpreters to provide guided tours for your guests to discover this former home to Sir Allan Napier MacNab, railway magnate, lawyer and Premier of the United Canadas (1854-1856) and his family. Today, Dundurn Castle tells the story of the family who lived above stairs and the servants who lived and worked below stairs to support their affluent lifestyle. Her Royal Highness Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall is the museum’s Patron and the great, great, great granddaughter of Sir Allan MacNab.
