Feathers are one of the prettiest bridal details. They work in so many ways, from feathered dresses to white feathers in your hair, they are a soft and delicate touch. They add a subtle texture to simple silhouettes and give some drama to short dresses. We love how delicate they are, making them a feminine and ethereal design detail and a romantic alternative to floral accessories. Vibrant peacock, soft pink or gray feathers are also beautiful bridal additions, but there’s just something incredibly special about white feathers.

We don’t know about you, but we’ve got a serious case of spring fever! To appease our need for sunshine and warmer weather, we thought we’d share a few spring-inspired wedding favor ideas with you today. Because it never hurts to remind ourselves that spring is just a few days away!

Since spring is all about new life and re-growth, we think seeds, bulbs, and blooms are natural favor options for spring nuptials. Of course, being inexpensive and easily DIY-able doesn’t hurt either! Just print up some pretty packages, throw in some seeds of your choosing, and you’re good to go.

Wanting a relaxed and intimate wedding, Sarah and Garett considered eloping, but living in San Francisco – a city with arguably the most beautiful and iconic city hall in the country – they decided a civil wedding ceremony made more sense to them. They chose to have a few close friends by their side at city hall before having more friends join them for celebratory drinks and dinner in the Mission District. And did we mention there were donuts involved? Donuts!

Wedding Reception Location: We had dinner in the private dining room at Beretta (a restaurant in the Mission district), and cocktails afterward at the private bar in The Armory Club (a vintage style bar, also in the Mission district).

Living continents apart – the bride in England and the groom in the United States – Eleanor and Max reunited in Portland for a foggy wedding ceremony under the St. John’s bride in the stunningly beautiful Cathedral Park. Surrounded by their immediate family members and their photographer Kim Smith-Miller, the couple radiated pure joy as they exchanged their vows and spent their fist afternoon as husband and wife wandering through the park and the streets of Portland. These two and their beaming smiles will seriously warm your heart!

Wedding Reception Location: We didn’t have a conventional reception but we went for brunch at a really nice place called Accanto after our morning ceremony. We kept the afternoon free for a bit of wandering and a celebratory slice of pie before an evening meal at Laurelhurst Market Restaurant.

In the epic search for The Dress, the design of the front combined with a perfect fit can usually seal the deal. It’s time to add in another contender as the back of the dress is quite rightly stepping up and fighting for attention. The details on the back of your wedding dress can be just as important as the front. Buttons, lace, cut-outs, criss-cross straps and backless features are all details that contemporary designers are using in their bridal pieces. They make a great statement and give your guests a stunning back view as you walk down the aisle. These details can create an additional element to simpler silhouettes that have a minimal look at the front.
