Why did you have an intimate wedding?

Both my husband and I didn’t want the crowd of people that we’d be forced to invite if we stayed home and had a wedding.  We both wanted a small private affair with our closest friends and family.  My father had died a year before the wedding, my father-in-law also died the month before, so we were both glad that we planned it this way in the end.

This is the mother of the groom. I love that she is dancing in green argyle socks.  I think this woman is fabulous!

Well, it’s almost Mother’s Day which means that in two days I’ll be putting my feet up for most of the day and eating cupcakes.

Not quite. We’re having the moms for dinner on Mother’s Day – and for the first time in our lives we’re cooking a turkey!

My DIY wedding programs did not fit on one page (I’m a writer!). If I had a one page wedding program, I would have rolled it up and tied it with ribbon.  I love the look of scroll DIY wedding programs. You can use any color paper you want, and the choices for ribbon are endless. Wouldn’t they look lovely placed inside a wicker basket? An easy and pretty DIY wedding project!

If you are going with a one pager, here are the details to include:

• Your names
• Date, location and time of ceremony
• The order of events for the wedding ceremony, including titles of readings and songs
• The names of the wedding party
• Names of your parents, clergy, readers and musicians
• Thank-yous, dedications and rememberances

I think this beaded bouquet is a work of art. It’s yours for $1,100 or so. Or maybe you could turn this into a DIY wedding project. I’m kidding.
