Eagles Nest Retreat is located on one of the most scenic oceanfront properties in the Canadian Gulf Islands.
The very private estate includes the southern tip of Galiano Island and is an enclave in a newly created Provincial Park. Starting as a B&B in 1990, Featured in “Northwest Best Places” Eagles Nest soon gained notoriety for its exceptional location and architectural excellence.
By 1998, it had transformed into a retreat where groups would come for art and health workshops, executive retreats, family reunions and particularly weddings. Getting married at Eagles Nest has become somewhat trendy so that we now host mostly weddings and love it.
The post and beam and glass main house is divided in two sections containing 3 bedrooms at each end and a large communal open living room, kitchen and eating area at the center. This arrangement works well to accommodate the two newly acquaintted families in an exquisitely beautiful environment.
We favour intimate weddings of up to 50 guests that can sit at round tables under our beautiful wedding marquee tent overlooking the ocean. The main house can accommodate about 35 guests for a receception “Buffet” style.
For larger weddings, we recommend that our guests reserve our island’s community hall to host the reception and party in case of rain. The cost is about $200 for the day and evening of the wedding. The ceremony can take place on the property, regardless of the weather.
We offer 3 and 7 day packages but can also arrange one or two day weddings. Our packages are quite flexible to accommodate your taste and budget. If you would like us to provide the cake, it will be delicious and artfully decorated with fresh fruit and flowers! Line Marie is a wizard with flowers and if we provide them, the arrangements will delight you!
